Arthritis Management
Arthritis does not have to mean giving up the activities you enjoy. Physiotherapy and exercise are the most effective ways to manage arthritis symptoms, maintain mobility, and improve your quality of life — without relying on medication alone.
With Naveen Ramakrishnan (MCSP HCPC) — Chartered Physiotherapist

Exercise Is Medicine for Arthritis
If you have osteoarthritis or inflammatory arthritis, exercise is the single most important thing you can do for your joints. This may seem counterintuitive — many people worry that exercise will damage their joints further — but research overwhelmingly shows the opposite. Regular, appropriate exercise reduces pain, improves joint stiffness, builds the muscles that support your joints, and can even slow the progression of osteoarthritis. The key is getting the right type and dose of exercise for your specific condition.
Tailored Arthritis Management
I create individualised exercise programmes that are challenging enough to produce meaningful improvements but manageable enough to stick with long-term. Treatment may also include manual therapy to improve joint mobility, education about your condition, weight management advice, and strategies for managing flare-ups. For those considering or awaiting joint replacement, pre-surgical strengthening (prehabilitation) can significantly improve your post-surgical recovery. My goal is to empower you with the knowledge and tools to manage your arthritis confidently.
