Planning a visit when travel is difficult
If a trip to a clinic is difficult after an injury, operation or change in mobility, a home visit lets us look at the tasks you need to manage where you live. If a relative or carer helps you day to day, they can join the visit with your agreement.
Home visits for mobility and independenceMeet your physiotherapist, Naveen
I founded Naveen Physiotherapy in Liverpool to offer one-to-one care at home. I’m a chartered physiotherapist, a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC PH127898). I see you for the first assessment and for any follow-ups we agree on.
- NHS primary care. My First Contact Practitioner experience includes assessing muscle, joint and back problems at the first appointment and identifying when someone needs further medical review.
- Sports rehabilitation. I worked with professional footballers at a FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence and Al Shabab Club in Dubai. That experience informs how I plan a return to training around the movements and demands of your sport.
- Orthopaedic rehabilitation. At Hatta Hospital in Dubai, I worked with a multidisciplinary team supporting people with musculoskeletal problems and after orthopaedic surgery. I bring that experience to home visits where the goal might be getting up from a chair, using the stairs or walking further.

- Listen. We talk about what changed, what you’ve tried and what you want to get back to.
- Assess. With your agreement, I look at the movements, strength or everyday tasks that are relevant to your symptoms. If you need another assessment or medical review, I explain the next step.
- Agree a plan. We discuss the findings and practise exercises that fit your home and routine. We agree what to work on between visits and when a follow-up would be useful.
If you have a discharge summary, a list of current exercises or advice from another clinician, keep it handy for the visit.
